being retired is indeed a full time job.
I have to sit, listen to music and wait until a bird shows up on the Aloe to get a shot.
The effort involved in this is staggering.
Aloe is a plant indigenous to the Arabian Peninsula, The Al Hajar Mountains more specifically. From there it spread to the Canary Islands and through out the world.
This plant I understand migrated from Catalina Island many years ago, perhaps helped by a piratical sea Captain I never got to know.
It now sits quietly, growing at an alarming rate and attracts Humming birds for my amusement.
For all this to come together just to make mornings special,
is a piece of the mystery, and as such is revered. Please join me, as I do nothing.
